Responsible for the company’s overall direction, product definition, relationships with key customers and investors, as well as key technology strategy, Alex is using his expertise to create new opportunities for today’s mobile economy.
A well-known expert in Internet and telecommunications technologies, he has authored multiple patents, Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) RFCs, and a book on Cisco IP routing, which has been dubbed the IP routing “bible.” Prior to co-founding Cinarra, Alex was the Chief Technology Officer for Cisco Systems’ service provider business in Asia Pacific and Japan. Before this role, Alex distinguished himself at Alcatel (now Alcatel-Lucent), holding executive positions in Singapore and being awarded the titles of Alcatel Fellow and Bell Labs Fellow for his contributions to Internet technologies. Earlier, Alex worked as the Routing Architect at Silicon Valley startup Nexsi Systems.
In his native country of Russia, Alex was a co-founder of the Center Group with Cinarra co-founder Alexandr Nikolaev. He was also one of the first CCIE and CCSI-certified experts in the country. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Kazan State Technical University.
